Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes we do! We conduct secure (HIPAA compliant) virtual meetings through our Practice Better Electronic Medical System, however this service is currently only available to our Pennsylvania residents due to licensure laws.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance at this time. However, if you have a high-deductible health plan (HDHP), our services may qualify to be covered by your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

In terms of insurance, medical nutrition therapy/nutrition counseling may or may not be provided by your insurance plan. Typically, plans will only cover visits with a Registered Dietitian when referred by a physician and/or for certain conditions, such as diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney failure and obesity. Because our consultations consider whole-body health and also includes nutrition therapy for conditions that are not traditionally reimbursable, we do not accept insurance at this time. However, we do try to keep costs reasonable given the quality of our services.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! We are able to offer payment plans for each of the Levels in our Nourishing Confidence Program, but in doing so you are agreeing to pay the full price of the Program by the end of the selected Level timeframe regardless of whether or not you choose to complete it.

What should I bring to my Initial Assessment consultation?

Before coming to your Initial Assessment consultation, we do ask that you complete all of our forms & waivers sent to you by email days before your appointment. In addition, please bring the results of any recent lab work you have had done (although we may require you to go back for further testing).

If you have not had any blood work done recently, in general, we will require all clients to request the following lab work from their primary care physician (PCP) at minimum:

CMP, CBC, TSH, Free T4, Free T3, TPO antibodies, TgAB antibodies, Ferritin, Serum Iron, % iron saturations, TIBC, Vitamin D, A1C, full lipid panel.

Depending on your Initial Assessment results, we may also have you go back to your PCP for further testing of the following labs:

Vitamin B12, RBC Zinc, RBC Magnesium, Serum Copper, RBC Vitamin A, Iodine and Folate, fasting insulin

What should I do if I’m running late for an appointment?

We understand that life can sometimes be unpredictable and emergencies do happen. In the event you are running late, please call our office at 908-399-9213 to keep us updated on your estimated time of arrival. If calling us while driving, please use Bluetooth devices or speaker capabilities to ensure compliance with road regulations and safety.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?

Please allow 24 hours’ notice before cancelling and/or rescheduling your appointment with us to avoid our missed appointment fee ($30). If you need to reschedule or cancel, you can do so by calling our office at 908-399-9213.
